Vinnie Gentile - Jazz SyndicateVinnie started voice lessons at the age of 5 and quickly converted to a piano student studying classical music through his teen years. He was fortunate to have great teachers from the beginning. Barbara Carlson ( Julliard Graduate and concert artist) until age 14 and Joseph Sovothy through age 18.

His first band “Simply Us” was started at age 13, the band played local swim clubs and parties with the help of willing parents that provided roadie transportation.

SMCoC - Osprey AwardsVinnie spend his first year of college as a performance major at Mansfield State College (now Mansfield University) before transferring to pursue jazz studies in Boston. He graduated from The Berklee College of Music (Boston, Ma) in 1982 with a Bachelor of Music Degree in Jazz Composition and Arranging.

Vinnie has played in a variety of musical venues from original funk rock, to R&B, wedding bands, club circuit groups, tour groups and extensive solo work in clubs and restaurants though the New Jersey and the Greater New York City area.

For Vinnie, Music is a hobby and he is focused on building his web design/development firm AVM Internet Solutions.
